Why Children Love the Little Mermaid Story

One of the most popular animated characters is “The little mermaid.” Every little girl adores the troubles she always gets into, her gleaming red hair, and her wicked disposition. Have you ever questioned her origins? Have your little daughters ever questioned you about the history of amara the mermaid?

How many times have you heard the phrase “Mother, are mermaids real?”

If so, then let’s discuss mermaids, Ariel, the Little Mermaid, and other enigmatic aquatic beings.

The mermaids’ tale fable

From 1000 B.C., mermaids have been the subject of legend. It comes from the current Middle East’s ancestral areas. This myth states that the goddess Atargatis, mother of Semiramis, had a shepherding relationship with a regular, poor, mortal man. Sadly, she accidentally killed her beloved. She resolved to live her life as a fish because her desperation was so great that she hurled herself into a lake. Without her cherished shepherd, she did not want to continue living her normal life. But, because she was a goddess, she was unable to fully change; instead, she retained the upper half of her female body while changing the lower half into a fish tail.

People from the Middle East used to refer to mermaids as “Nautical People,” and they thought that they were just regular ladies with the ability to survive and thrive underwater.

A different myth originates in Europe. It asserts that mermaids are seducers who exhibit the fatalism and brutality of females. This myth has its roots in tales of sailors and fishermen from European coastal cities. They told tales of mermaids who seduced men and forced them to plunge into the chilly ocean depths.

Some legends claim that the mermaids were the portent of doom for the ships lost at sea. They served as a warning that there is no help available and there is no way out.

Greek mythology is the last well-known legend. Mermaids were described as sea creatures in Greek mythology, Poseidon’s companions who always came to the relief of distressed ships or missing fishermen.

Mermaid the Little

All young females watch this movie more than any other. King Triton, ruler of the mighty undersea kingdom, is the father of the cheeky mermaid Ariel, also known as The Little Mermaid. She usually finds herself in difficult situations, yet she always manages to pull through with her guts and tenacity. Her greatest desire is to experience life as a real human, even briefly.

Why do tiny girls adore Ariel so much?

Ariel has a fantastic life, filled with excitement, danger, friends, amusement, and many other good things. She enjoys all the things that young girls desire, like independence, games, a wonderful environment, and lots of fun. Her father’s lovely, adorable girl. Ariel is actually a reincarnation of what girls want to be.

But….

All these mermaid tales could cause some issues. Youngsters occasionally relate to the characters in their favorite books. They want to run, play, and leap like them. Be cautious since your daughter could want to plunge into the water and swim like a mermaid without having learned how to swim. She might anticipate seeing mermaids in the deep ocean or expecting them to save her. The unknown! She might also attempt to cause any of Ariel’s mischief. So, make an effort to explain to the child the mermaid legends and that they should never act as they see in the movie “The Little Mermaid.”
